When I was a little girl, I had a dream, I wanted to change the world and be a super hero.
I wanted to impact people around myself, I wanted to be the sparkle that they can feel joy, safe, happy, confident, or whatever was immediately lacking. I wanted to fill the gaps in people’s lives, where I could so clearly see something that needed to happen, needed to change, needed to be cared for, and reminded of their own importance in their own worlds, because a super hero teaches that to others, right? So I decided to become a hairdresser.
I started my career in 2005, when I went to trade school in Melbourne. I loved in, and a flew thru my training, I devoured it so that I could be a bigger impact. I remember assisting on my first wedding party, and it defined my career, I knew I wanted to work more with women, I knew that I love Bridal hair, and being part of that day. But the every day has even more importance, as I have matured.
Townsville has been home for us for 4 years now, and it’s been an amazing experience to learn more, about life, about motherhood, about spirituality and about what I want as a business legacy. My favourite service is still creating bespoke, custom lived in colour work, whether that be a bright blonde, or a deep chestnut. Creating feature enhancing, custom colour is exactly where my heart sings. The reason that I do hair, it’s all about the connection I have with you. That’s the crux for me. If you have been in my chair a hundred times, or only once, I’m sure that you know already how I endeavour to extract your dream hair from your brain, I deliver the ultimate best outcome for you, because then … my super power revealed, I show you how beautiful you are, how confidence was already within you, how you can and will impact your world! When you have that moment where you look in the mirror and you smile. Sometimes you think I don’t notice, but I do. That is my legacy.
That is what it’s all about.
